Paper And Camera-phone supported Editor and Reader, or simply PACER, is a camera phone tool that can support fine-grained digital functions on paper document.
It exploits image recognition technology to link a paper document location to its corresponding location in digital version, and allows users to apply digital manipulations to paper content selected by a camera phone. With PACER, various computer-exclusive document manipulations can be performed on paper document via an embodied see-through interface on the camera phone. Users can target a location in a paper document patch with the center of a phone camera, capture an image, and get the corresponding digital document patch for manipulations.
